Chittagong University of Engineering Technology- is known as CUET. In Bangladesh CUET is one of the leading engineering university. CUET is located in the Kaptai Area of ​​Chittagong. CUET give the opportunity to the selected students to study in various departments through admission test. Every year a large number of students take this admission test. Faculties of CUET

There are five faculties in CUET. Each faculty consists of different subjects.   The Faculty names are- 

1. Civil Engineering ( সিভিল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং)
2. Mechanical Engineering
3. Electrical & Computer Engineering ( তড়িৎ ও কম্পিউটার প্রকৌশল)
4. Architecture & Planning (স্থাপত্য ও পরিকল্পনা)
5. Engineering & Technology (প্রকৌশলী বিদ্যা)

Besides these, there are four institutes. The institutes are

1. Institute of Earthquake Engineering Research (ভূমিকম্প প্রকৌশল গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউট)
2. Research and Extension (গবেষণা এবং সম্প্রসারণ)
3. Institute of Energy Technology (শক্তি প্রযুক্তি ইনস্টিটিউট)
4. Institute of Information and Comm. Tech.

CUET Subjects

CUET has a total of 12 subjects in all faculties.  An undergraduate student can choose any of the subjects according to the merit. The Subjects are-

7. Petroleum & Mining Engineering (পেট্রোলিয়াম ও মাইনিং ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং)
8. Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering (মেকাট্রনিক্স এবং ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং)
9. Urban & Regional Planning/ URP ( নগর ও আঞ্চলিক পরিকল্পনা)

প্রতি বছর CUET স্নাতক ১ম বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থীদের ভর্তি পরীক্ষা নেয়। স্নাতক ১ম বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য মোট 890 আসন রয়েছে। বিভাগ অনুযায়ী আসন সংখ্যা নিচে দেওয়া হল।

চট্টগ্রাম প্রকৌশল প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম একটি প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। প্রতি বছর বিপুল পরিমান শিক্ষার্থী চট্টগ্রাম প্রকৌশল প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ভর্তি পরীক্ষায় অংশগ্রহন করে। Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology বিশ্বের 14178 টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধ্যে #5764 নম্বার পজিশনে আছে। এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টি এশিয়া মহাদেশে #1909 তম এবং বাংলাদেশে এর অবস্থান ১৮ তম। সুতরাং বলা যায় চট্টগ্রাম প্রকৌশল প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিশ্বের অন্যতম একটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়।
