Medical Admission Test: The Medical Admission Test is a multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam consisting of 100 marks. The exam is conducted in both English and Bengali languages and covers the following subjects:
- Physics (20 marks)
- Chemistry (25 marks)
- Biology (30 marks)

Counseling and Admission: The admission process is managed by the DGHS through online counseling. After the announcement of the results, eligible candidates are called for counseling based on their rank in the exam. The counseling process involves choosing the preferred medical college and course based on availability and eligibility.
The admission process is highly competitive, and only a limited number of seats are available in government and private medical colleges in Bangladesh. However, the government of Bangladesh is taking initiatives to increase the number of seats to ensure more students get the opportunity to pursue a career in medicine.
